Bryant Park
Mondays at dusk when picnic baskets on blankets litter the green amidst Midtown skyscrapers anticipating the start of that night’s HBO movie--projected on a big screen beside an old fountain. The burgeoning sense of community is palpable as strangers become neighbors: bartering wine for cheese and corkscrews for fruit. The realization dawns that free films in warm weather provide cheap but memorable dates for students living two-to-a-walkup studio apartment in Alphabet City and executives in floor-through penthouses on Park Avenue alike.

Bryant Park is having a particularly good 'film noir' festival this season. . I thoroughly agree. I plan on attending.
But other than that, I will be the first to avow that social life in that benighted boro (Manhattan) is phukking GHASTLY. People do not bond. People do not gel.
There are no people there at all, in fact. No one to gel with. Zombies. Soulless ghosts. Manhattan is the most horrible. . and, unfit-for-human-life
class of city I have ever seen.
In the last two years, I have visited deeply into Brazil and western China. . and, omfg, my stomach roils when contemplating Manhattan. Every wise and wonderful element of human interaction is corrupted and poisoned in that despicable borough.
It should be nuked with a neutron bomb. Leave the architecture, eradicate the scourge known as Americans. Before it's too late for everyone.
