In my zeal to showcase my newly acquired Outlook calendar feature (via work) and assure D'souza that I am the organatrix I always was I have been sending him outlook invitations in 1-2 hour blocks of activities I have planned for us to participate in this weekend.
Saturday
9-10am Kayaking on the Hudson (Downtown Boathouse)
10-11:30am Tennis at the Canal Street Courts along the Hudson
12:30-1:00pm Lunch at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park
2-3:30pm Beginner Salsa at Empire Dance
4-5pm Boat ride in a paddle boat in Central Park
5:30-6:30pm Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral
7-8pm Drinks at Ava Lounge at the top of the Dream Hotel
8:30-10pm Dinner at Buenos Aires
Sunday
11am-12pm Tennis on the Fayson Lakes clubhouse courts
12-1pm D'souza to help Mr. Winters (my mom's hubby) with his computer
1-2pm Take the motor boat on the lake for a relaxing ride
2-3pm BBQ with the family on the deck overlooking the lake
D'souza's response:
"stop the outlook appointments...just send me an email with all our plans...i can print it, laminate it and hang it around my neck...that way I can't forget!"

lol hahahah haha! Commendable effort. But D'Souza is right. Outlook appointments sent over the net can be rather awkward.
I suspect that the D-man also knows (but maybe has forgotten to inform you?) that Outlook is seriously outmatched these days by dozens of other programs (free ones, especially).
Another gentle reminder would be this: Outlook is one of the most common methods for hackers to spread viruses around the internet. It was infamous. Should generally be avoided except in extremely protected, in-house environments. Soooo vulnerable to malefactors.
Side note: how . . why on earth would anyone want to try to accomplish all those activities in one weekend? This individual was tired just reading that itinerary.
Throw that plan out, just stay in bed boffing your brains out!
Just my opinion, of course. . offered for amusement purposes only. . .
Questions:
9-10am Kayaking on the Hudson (Downtown Boathouse)
Why go kayaking for only an hour?
12:30-1:00pm Lunch at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park
Is it possible to get served and eat at that joint in under thirty minutes?
Good to see you allowed an hour of digestion time before the dance class
2-3:30pm Beginner Salsa at Empire Dance
4-5pm Boat ride in a paddle boat in Central Park
This is MAJOR exercise. Beware of paddle-boats, whoever designed them should burn in the pit of hellfire.
5:30-6:30pm Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral
Very nice. Sweet. Remember the Opie and Anthony show?
p.s. host is Catholic??
7-8pm Drinks at Ava Lounge at the top of the Dream Hotel
Excellent. Try a snifter of Laphroaig 10 yr old Scotch. Must be Laphroaig.
Sunday
1-2pm Take the motor boat on the lake for a relaxing ride
Good choice. Stay away from paddleboats!!
p.s. Final suggestion: Host forgot to rack up the prices for all these activities and indicate "Living in Manhattan: Priceless" at the end of the schedule!!
9-10am Kayaking on the Hudson (Downtown Boathouse) FREE
We weren't up early enough for this. They only let you take the kayak out in 1/2hour installments.
11:15-12:45pm Tennis at Canal St. FREE. We waited an hour and played for only 30mins.
12:30-1:00pm Lunch at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.
Sadly the long lines made us hit Rickshaw Dumpling instead. Lunch was $19.87.
We went back to Shake Shack for dinner only waited 30mins. in sum and paid $43.16 including a bottle of Chardonnay.
2-3:30pm Beginner Salsa at Empire Dance. $30/couple
Class was cancelled. We've rescheduled for June 16th!
4-5pm Boat ride in a paddle boat in Central Park. $12/hour
He did all the paddling.
5:30-6:30pm Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. FREE
I was baptized Syrian Orthodox as an infant but have been going to mass ever since I had a choice in the matter of which church I attended. He's Catholic!
7-8pm Drinks at Ava Lounge at the top of the Dream Hotel. $35 (with tip)
Saturday in Manhattan with my Man: PRICELESS!
super cute!
Even accomplishing *half* of that ambitious and romantic list deserves a round of applause from the Peanut Gallery . . Whew!
It's like an episode of 'Sex in the City' without any of the sex. Ratio of outdoor activities to indoor activities. . h'mmmm. . . ?
